Sexual Abuse

What exactly is sexual abuse? Sexual abuse is any undesired sexual behavior by one person that is forced upon another individual.

Sexual abuse can involve rape or any other forced sexual acts. An abusive significant other might start to use sex to judge their partners and assign value based on how they perform. For example, if they think the sex was not good enough or that sex is the only thing they are good for. Keep in mind that until 1993 marital rape was illegal in all 50 states. For this reason some people may still believe that sex is something a partner is ENTITLED to, not realizing that it as “a larger pattern of power and control.”
